Lisa Widerman Summerlin, age 48 of 566 Easley Road, Eden, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Hospice Home of Rockingham County.

A funeral service will be held 2 pm Thursday at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Dan View Cemetery.  A visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 6 - 8 pm at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of her father, 451 Merriman Street in Eden.

Lisa was born October 12, 1969 in Rockingham County.  She was a graduate of Rockingham Senior High School class of 1987.  Lisa was formerly employed by the US Postal Service and later was self-employed.  She loved spending time with her daughter, granddaughter, family and friends. loved her time at the beach with her Mom watching boats go by and playing in the sand with Jenna.  She also enjoyed playing cards with her dad and family.

Preceding her in death was her mother, Kathy Haley; maternal grandmother, Jackie Harvey; paternal grandfather and grandmother, John and Margaret Widerman; aunt, Peggy Widerman Russell.  

Surviving are daughter, Brooke Summerlin and special friend, Danny Fleck; granddaughter, Jenna Lynn Laprad all of Eden; father and stepmother, Ken and Tina Widerman; brother, Mike Widerman and wife Shea; sisters, Leighann Widerman Webster and husband Bolton and Heather Honeyoust Tuggle and husband Wayne; neices, Lauren and Kristin Widerman, Peyton Herring and Annadele Tuggle; nephews Brian, Vince and Paul Widerman, Burke Herring and Trey Tuggle; great nephew Michael Brian Widerman III; numerous, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
