Sally Carter Reynolds, age 84, formerly of Eden, NC and most recently of Newport, NC  passed away on Saturday June 24, 2017 at Pruitt Health in Newport, NC.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 27th at Fair Funeral Home in Eden with burial to follow at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens.  The family will have a visitation on Monday evening from 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Reynolds was born May 22, 1933 in Henry County, Virginia to the late Beverly Morton Carter and Stella Flanagan Carter.  She was a graduate of UNC-G. She retired from the Forsyth Memorial Hospital in Winston Salem in the accounting department and formerly worked at Fieldcrest Mills.  Mrs. Reynolds attended the First Christian Church and was a member of the Morgan Ford Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Melvin Travis and second husband, Ray Reynolds; brothers, J.B. Carter, Henry Carter and Billy Carter.

Surviving are daughter, Cynthia A. Rinaman (Jerry) of New Palestine, IN and son Gene Travis (Eileen Lafreniere) of Stella, NC.; sisters, Josephine Carter and Nancy Odell of Eden, NC; grandsons, Daniel Lee Rinaman (Leslie McSweeney) and Robert Alan Rinaman (Vania); 6 great grandchildren.
