Marie Lawson Pulliam, 91, formerly of Eden, passed away Wednesday morning, December 28, 2016, at Countryside Village in Stokesdale.

A funeral service will be held at  11 a.m. Saturday at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with entombment to follow at Overlook Mausoleum.

Mrs. Pulliam was born July 8, 1925 in King, NC to the late George Fountain Lawson and Mabel Slate Lawson.  She was a member of Leaksville Christian Church and was an avid Golfer at the former Meadows Greens Country Club. She loved playing bridge with her dear friends.

She is survived by her two sons, Lonnie L. Pulliam, Jr. and wife, Katherine of Greenville, SC and Larry D. Pulliam and wife, Cindy, of Greensboro;  and three grandchildren, Spencer Pulliam and wife, Elizabeth, Christian Pulliam, and Cameron Pulliam; sisters, Guelda Hall and Lorene Clark of Stanleyville, NC.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie L. Pulliam, Sr.; brother, Bud Lawson and sister, Kay Brown.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 till 11 am.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Leaksville Christian Church, 1010 Washington Street, Eden, NC 27288
