Peggy Jean Hodges Church, 80, formerly of 617 Spring Street in Eden but more recently of Brian Center, passed away early Thursday morning, June 23, 2016, at Morehead Memorial Hospital. 

A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, June 25, at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Church was born November 9, 1935 in Leaksville, NC to the late Giles M. "Gum" and Jennie Scott Hodges.  

She is survived by son, Timothy Hodges (Paula) of Eden;  daughter, Tina Church of Eden;  grandson, John Henry Church;  grandchildren, Iris Jones Thompson and Phillip Jones;  step-grandchildren, Nicole Belcher and Zachary Belcher;  and three great-grandchildren, Samantha Jones, Phillip Jones, Jr., and Brandon Broome.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Church;  son, John Church, Jr.;  and daughter, Gloria Hodges Jones.

The family will receive friends Friday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home.
