Calvin David Kallam, 79, of 222 Roberts Road in Eden passed away on June 10, 2016 at Moses Cone Hospital. 

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, June 13, 2016 in Overlook Cemetery with Reverend Harold Kallam officiating. 

Mr. Kallam was a beloved husband, father and friend to many.  He loved gardening, yard sales, flea markets, cleaning his truck, watching his westerns and John Wayne.  Calvin retired from City of Eden.  He will be greatly missed.

Mr. Kallam is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Beatrice Watkins Kallam of the home; sons, David Kallam (Betty) and Russell “Brother” Kallam ( Tammie); grandchildren, John A. Kallam, Lee Kallam (Michelle), Len Kallam, Jacob Kallam, Harley Kallam, and Daniel Kallam; and sister, Helen Lemons.

Along with his parents, Charlie and Nina Kallam, he was preceded in death by son, John “Meany Man” Kallam; sisters, Onie Cox and Rosie Hodges; brothers, Kenneth Kallam and Howard Kallam.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Fair Funeral Home.
