Arthur Hill, 97, of 189 Sinclair Street in Ridgeway, VA, passed away Monday, May 2, 2016, at his home.

 

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, May 5 at Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Eden.  Burial will follow in Highland Burial Park, Danville, VA.

 

Mr. Hill was born June 26, 1918 in Wise County, VA.  He was a World War II US Army veteran serving in German and a retired security guard for Fieldcrest Mills.  

 

He is survived by one sister, Blanche Mergenthaler.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.

 

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service (10 - 11 am) on Thursday at Fair Funeral Home Chapel.
