A funeral service will be held 2 pm Tuesday at Apostolic Pentecostal Holiness Church on 752 Davis Street, Eden.  Burial will follow at Overlook Cemetery.

A visitation will be held on Monday evening at Fair Funeral Home from 6 -8 Pm and other times at the home.

 

Mrs. Cheshire was born July 15, 1921 in Axton, Virginia to the late Charlie and Hattie Gillie Powell. She was preceded in death along with her parents by her husband William David Cheshire; brothers, Bill, Andrew and Lonzie Powell; sister, Clara Powell Brown.

 

She is survived by son, Ronnie Cheshire and wife Ruth of Eden, and daughter, Marie Cheshire of the home; 3 granddaughters, Susan King, Michelle Kosmos and Belinda Poteat; 7 great grandchildren, Chelsea, Alexis, Cierra, Storm, Noah, Jonah and Isaac; one great-great-grandson, Elijah.
