Obituary For Inez Burgess Tucker December 4, 1919 - September 8, 2015 Inez Burgess Tucker, 95, of 242 Country Club Drive, passed away early Tuesday morning, September 8, 2015 at Hospice Home of Rockingham County in Wentworth. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, September 11, at First Church of the Brethren. Burial will follow in Overlook Cemetery. Mrs. Tucker was born December 4, 1919 in Henry County, Virginia to the late James and Gaye Boone Burgess. She was a member of First Church of the Brethren where she spent 25 years as a Sunday School teacher. She served on the church board and various committees over the years. She is survived by her two sons, Larry Tucker and Kent Tucker and wife, Lisa, both of Eden; grandson, Matthew Tucker and wife, Julie of Williamsburg, VA; granddaughter, Brittany Tucker of Eden; two great-grandchildren, Ellie Tucker and Beatrice Tucker of Williamsburg, VA; and three sisters, Elsie Denny, Ollie Grogan, and Katherine Gilley, all of Eden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Bryant Tucker; son, Gary Tucker; and her brothers, Henry and Jimmy Burgess. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, 6 - 8 PM at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
