Obituary For James Daniel Rhyne, Jr. July 27, 1931 - September 1, 2015 James Daniel Rhyne, Jr., 84, passed away Tuesday morning, September 1, 2015 at Morehead Memorial Hospital in Eden. A graveside memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, September 3, at Danview Cemetery. Mr. Rhyne was born July 27, 1931 in Riverbend, NC, to the late James D. Rhyne, Sr. and Lucille Rabb. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a graduate of Kansas City Art Institute. Mr. Rhyne moved to Eden, NC in 1949. He was a retired draftsman for Lockheed Martin, Inc. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Barrow Rhyne of Eden; sister, June R. Boyette of Emerald Isle, NC; two nieces; sisters-in-law, Rossie B. Sacrinty of Eden, Faye Abshire and husband Raymond of Ridgeway, VA, Mitzi B. Lhotsky and husband, Jan of Greensboro, Verla Moss and husband, James of Advance, NC, Catherine Sladky and husband, James of Reidsville, and Debra Meinhart and husband, Jeff of Louisburg; and three brothers-in-law, Watt L. Barrow and wife, Carolyn of Fork Mountain, VA, Joe Barrow and Lynn Barrow, both of Eden. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside.
