Obituary For Myrtle Odell September 5, 1933 - July 4, 2015 Myrtle Mae Odell age 81 of 323 Denson Rd. passed away July 4th, 2015 at her home. A graveside service will be held 4pm, Monday, July 6, 2015 at Overlook cemetery. Ms. Odell was born September 5, 1933 to the late Joe Henry and Susie Hopkins Odell in Rockingham County, NC. She attended Grace Baptist Church and was a long time member of "The Will Of The People". She retired from DuPont where she worked as a machine operator for 30 years. After retiring she went to school and became a nursing assistant, obtained wood working skills and also worked as a caregiver. As a favorite past time she loved to gather with friends and play music, and was able to play more than one musical instrument. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and her two best friends Sylvia Smith and Jean Adkins. She is preceded in death along with her parents by three sisters, two half sisters and one half brother. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the graveside 3 pm to 3:45 pm at Fair Funeral Home.
