Obituary For Ernest Wayne Jones October 27, 1948 - May 23, 2015 Ernest Wayne Jones, 66, Eden passed away on May 23, 2015 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Thursday, May 28th, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Eden with Pastor Gary Grubbs officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery with military honors by the Rockingham County Honor Guard. A loving son and brother, he was a native of Draper (Eden). Wayne attended Morehead High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Marines serving in Vietnam where he earned the Purple Heart, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Vietnam Service Medal. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Dawn Overby Jones. He is survived by his sisters, Gloria Ramey and Gladys Jones, both of Eden, and his brother, Jay Jones and his wife Dale, of Ruffin. The family will recieve friends Wednesday, May 27th from 6pm to 8pm at Fair Funeral Home in Eden and all other times at 1151 Ridge Ave., Eden.
