Obituary For Nelson "Buck" Harrison Amburn April 29, 1926 - March 17, 2015 Nelson "Buck" Harrison Amburn, 88, of 1068 Lincoln Street in Eden, passed away late Tuesday evening, March 17, 2015 at Hospice Home of Rockingham County. A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, March 20, at Overlook Cemetery by Rockingham County Veteran's Honor Guard. Mr. Amburn was born April 29, 1926 in Randolph County, NC to the late W. W. Amburn and Clara Robertson Amburn. He was a US Army World War II veteran and a retiree of Fieldcrest Mills. He is survived by his wife, Frances "Lorene" M. Amburn, of the home; step-son, Jack Thomas, Jr. and wife, Hyun Young, of Georgia; two step-grandchildren, Victoria and Catherine Thomas; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday, 1 - 1:45 PM, at Fair Funeral Home before proceeding to the cemetery for the graveside service.
