Obituary For Paul D. Carter June 25, 1940 - January 31, 2015 Paul David Carter, age 74 of 252 E. Aiken Road, Eden passed away on Saturday morning January 31, 2015. A graveside service will be held 2 pm Monday at Dan View Cemetery with Military Rites performed by the Rockingham County Honor Guard. Mr. Carter was born June 25, 1940 in Whitman, West Virginia to the late William & Maude Farra Carter. He was a graduate of Marshall University, a US Army Veteran and a member the DAV Chapter # 63 and a member of Merriman Street Wesleyan Church for over 30 years. He formerly worked at Fieldcrest Mills and later retired from the NC Dept. of Transportation. Survivors are wife, Mildred Chumley Carter of the home; son Scott Carter and wife Shannon of Cascade, VA.; grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Callan Carter; sisters, Sarah Bisciglia of North Ridge, Calif. and Martha Driskell of Nelsonville, Ohio; Tyke Meade of Florida and Anna Raphael and husband Boots of Apache Junction, AZ.
