Obituary For Irene McPeak Pendleton March 24, 1931 - January 9, 2015 Irene McPeak Pendleton, 83, of 2840 Worsham Mill Road in Ruffin, passed away Friday afternoon, January 9, 2015, at her home. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, January 13, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Pendleton was born March 24, 1931 in Rising Sun, Maryland, to the late Arthur and Fleeta McDaniel McPeak. She was a member of Reidsville Christian Church for over 20 years. She also was a member of Homemakers of America for over 30 years and served as treasurer. Irene worked at Karastan Rug Mill for 18 years as well where she retired. In addition to working there she also worked as a CNA for 10 years with the Council On Aging. She is survived by her three daughters, Jane Pendleton of the home, Fleeta P. Thompson and husband Charles of Eden, Sandra Hardy of Reidsville, Nancy Marchman of Reidsville, three sons Henry A. Pendleton, Jr. and wife Debra of Eden, Lee Pendleton of the home and Howard Pendleton and wife Madonna of Stoneville, 17 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews and one brother-in-law Wilburn N. Pendleton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Allen Pendleton, Sr., three brothers and three sisters. The family will receive friends Monday evening, 6 - 8 PM at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
