Obituary For Lorraine Wilkins Buckner April 25, 1923 - January 7, 2015 Lorraine Wilkins Buckner, 91, of Eden, passed away Wednesday morning, January 7, 2015, at her daughter's home in Calabash, NC. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, January 10 at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Ridgeview Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Buckner was born April 25, 1923 in Rockingham County, NC, to the late John W. Wilkins and Laura A. Carter Wilkins. She was a graduate of Leaksville High School, Class of 1939 and a former employee of Karastan Rug Mill where she worked for 28 years. She is survived by her two sons, Gerald F. Buckner and wife, Sandy of Kennesaw, GA and Jonny Lynn Buckner and wife, JoAnn, of Eden, NC; daughters, Jennifer B. Hurd and husband, Mike, of Stoneville and Judith B. Williamson and husband, Keith, of Calabash, NC; 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Francis Buckner; four brothers, Grover, Robert, Jean and William Wilkins; and four sisters, Della Sue Wilkins, Maggie W. Fuller, Anna W. Taylor, and Ella W. Faircloth. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (1 - 2 PM) on Saturday at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, Jennifer Hurd, 134 Laurel Bluff Road in Stoneville.
