Obituary For Alice Norton Taylor January 27, 1931 - November 15, 2014 Alice Norton Taylor, age 83, of Madison, NC went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday afternoon at Hospice Home of Rockingham County. A graveside service will be held 2 pm Wednesday November 19, 2014 at Overlook Cemetery. Mrs. Taylor was born January 27, 1931 in Danville, VA to the late Jesse and Annie Jordan Norton. She was retired from Fieldcrest Mills. Alice was a member of the Maple Long Baptist Church in the Bethany Community. Preceding her in death along with her parents were two sons, Harry M. Taylor, Jr. and Howard Melvin Taylor; brother, Frank Norton; sisters, Volina Smith and Jane Guinn. She is survived by daughters, Fern A. Taylor of Ridgeway, Felice T. Compton and husband James of Mt. City, TN, Fran T. Agee of Reidsville and Freda T. Curtis and husband Dan of Graybark, SC; one son, Jesse Taylor of Madison; brothers, Jesse, Jr., Hugh, Steve and Jimmy Norton; sisters, Ann Shough, Brenda Norton; 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
