Obituary For Phillip T. Corum, Sr. February 28, 1934 - November 15, 2014 Phillip Thomas Corum, Sr. age 80 of 3471 Price Road, Eden passed away early Saturday morning at his home. A funeral service will be held 3pm Monday November 17, 2014 at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Overlook Cemetery. Mr. Corum was born February 28, 1934 in Rockingham County to the late Louie and Ola Thomas Corum. He was a retired Commerical Painter. Preceding him in death along with his parents was a daughter, Lisa Corum; brothers, Wayne, Garland and Melvin Corum. Surviving are his longtime companion, Diane Houchins Nester of the home; daughters, Lynn Gilley, Martha Daniels and Toody Stultz and husband Mike all of Eden; sons Phillip "Dinker" Corum, Jr. and wife Joan, Jimmy Corum all of Eden, Jody Corum and wife Renee of Reidsville; 10 grandchildren, Jerry Brammer II, Regina Shelton, Tanya Burgess, Chris Corum, Ashley Corum, Jennifer Nelson, David Daniels, Phillip Ward, Brittany Ward, Christian Corum and Hannah Corum;15 great grandchildren; brothers, Dean Corum and wife Brenda of Eden, Fetzer Corum and wife Francis of Stoneville; sisters, Lena Julian and Gladys Durham and husband Curtis "Dig" of Eden, Sara Compton and husband J.D. of Ridgeway. The family will receive friends at Fair Funeral Home Chapel from 7 - 9 pm on Sunday and other times at the home of his daughter, 380 Ward Road, Eden.
