Obituary For Patricia Hankins New July 11, 1939 - October 21, 2014 Patricia Hankins New, age 75 of 155 Gayle Ave., Eden passed away Tuesday October 21 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC. The funeral service will be held Friday 11am at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Ridge-View Memorial Gardens. Mrs. New was born July 11, 1939 to the late Lonnie and Neva Land Hankins in Leaksville, NC. She was a founding member of Growing Oaks Community Church. She was also a Gold Star Wife. She loved cooking, Carolina Basketball, and adored her grandchildren. Preceding her in death along with her parents was her husband R.E. New, Jr. Surviving are her daughters; Janet New of the home, Jennifer N. Corum and husband Bobby of Greensboro, NC, son R.E. New III and wife Debbie of Colfax, NC, one brother Sammy Hankins of Eden, five grandchildren Sean New and wife Britney, Michael Corum, Kimberly New, Boston New, Mark Corum and one great grandchild Evan New.
