Obituary For Melissa "Missy" Bennett Lynch March 7, 1973 - October 13, 2014 Melissa "Missy" Bennett Lynch, 41, of 307 Meadow View Lane in Eden, passed away Monday morning, October 13, 2014, at her home. A memorial service will be held at 6:30 PM on Thursday, October 16, at Osborne Baptist Church. Missy was born March 7, 1973 in Rutherfordton, NC. She was a graduate of R.S. Central High School, Class of 1991. Missy received her Associates Degree from Isothermal Community College in Spindale, NC. She was a member of the Osborne Homeschool Association and was the Children's Director for Bridgetown Church in Danville, VA. Missy was a loving mother and wife. Her passion was children. She lived out this passion through being a foster parent, an adoptive parent, and through leading children at church. No one ever loved a child more than Melissa "Missy" Bennett Lynch. She is survived by her husband, Jeff Lynch, of the home; her children, Ben, Baylee, Destiny, and Naomie; mother, Ann Strickland and husband, Larry; father, Jimmy Bennett and wife, Gwen; her father- and mother-in-law, Bobby and Brenda Lynch; brother, Brian Bennett and wife, Tonya; sister-in-law, Donna Ashley and husband, Philip; step-sister, Melissa Cooper and husband, Keith; step-brother, Tony Strickland and wife, Crystal; nephew, Hunter Bennett; aunts, Pauline Hyder and husband, David, Mary Kuzkin and husband, Gary, and Joan Hutchins and husband, Fred; and uncle, Pete Camp and wife, Debbie, Joe Bennett and wife, Geneva, Jerry Bennett and wife, Lou Ann, Johnny Bennett and wife, Barbara, Jack Bennett and wife, Cathy, and Jeff Bennett and wife, Connie. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, 5 - 6:30 PM, at Osborne Baptist Church, prior to the service.
