Obituary For Nellie Gray Solomon Graveley November 5, 1934 - May 18, 2014 Nellie Gray Solomon Gravely, 79, passed away Sunday afternoon, May 18, 2014, at Golden Living Center in Martinsville, VA. A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, May 21, at Woodlawn Cemetery Mrs. Gravely was born November 5, 1934, daughter of the late Taylor and Dovie Hopkins Solomon. She attended Ridgeway Church of God. She is survived by her son, Gene Austin and wife, Aileen, of Eden; daughter, Karen Sue Pickurel and husband, Jimmy of Ramseur, NC; four grandchildren, Chris Pickurel, Greg Pickurel, Brian Austin and Vicky Smithey; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, Kimberly Nicole Zumano of Richmond, VA; and sister, Mary Murphy of Tennessee. In additon to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Gravely; two sons, Alan Lee Gravely and Wayne Austin; and two brothers, Taylor Solomon, Jr. and Robert Solomon. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday, 1 - 1:45 PM, at Fair Funeral Home before proceeding to the cemetery.
