Obituary For Eldridge "Ray" Hill June 7, 1931 - May 5, 2014 Eldridge "Ray" Hill, 82, of 1219 Forest Road in Eden, passed away Monday afternoon, May 5, 2014, at Hospice Home of Rockingham County in Wentworth. A graveside service will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, May 7, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Reidsville. Mr. Hill was born June 7, 1931 in Rockingham County, NC, son of the late Roy and Ruth Varner Hill. He was a US Navy veteran and a retired truck driver for Container Warehouse Corporation. He is survived by his wife, Ann Kallam Hill of the home; daughter, Lou Hill Wall of Eden; granddaughter, Ashley Hill Dawson of Summerville, GA; grandson, Jacob S. Wall of Eden; two great-grandchildren, Tristan and Trent Dawson of Summerville, GA; sister, Bernice Joyce and husband, Roger of Stoneville; and a daughter-in-law, Shirley Hill of Alabama. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Mark Hill; grandson, Josh Hill; six brothers and sisters. The family will receive friends at the residence, 1219 Forest Road in Eden.
