Obituary For David "Lee" Lofton June 7, 1939 - April 15, 2014 David "Lee" Lofton, 74, passed away Tuesday afternoon, April 15, 2014, at Morehead Nursing Center following a lengthy illness. A graveside memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, April 17, at Lawson Cemetery. Mr. Lofton was born June 7, 1939 in Albany, GA, the son of the late Joe and Marguerite Jones Lofton. He was a US Air Force veteran and a member of Leaksville United Methodist Church. Mr. Lofton was a retiree of Fieldcrest Mills. He is survived by his wife, Linda Mills Lofton of the home; two daughters, Lisa L. Shively of Topsail Beach and Lara Lofton of Elon; and two grandchildren, Casey Waters and Jake Shively.
