Obituary For Emmett Elrine Church February 14, 1932 - April 1, 2014 Emmett Elrine Church, 82, of 440 Riverside Drive in Eden, passed away Tuesday afternoon, April 1, 2014, at Morehead Memorial Hospital. A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, April 4, at First Church of the Living God. Burial will follow in Overlook Cemetery. Mr. Church was born February 14, 1932 in Spray, NC, son of the late Joseph Mayberry Church and Bessie Leonard Church. He was a veteran of the North Carolina National Guard and a member of First Church of the Living God. Mr. Church retired from Karastan Rug Mill. He is survived by his wife, Laura Emerson Church of the home; two sons, Elvis Church and his wife, Connie of Eden, and Bruce Church and wife, Lisa of Kannapolis; three grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven brothers and two sisters. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
