Obituary For Larry Surber August 16, 1945 - January 24, 2014 Larry William Surber, age 68 of 530 Beagle Club Road, Stoneville passed away suddenly Friday evening January 25, 2014. Larry's request was that no services be held. Larry was born August 16, 1945 in Burlington, NC to the late William and Alice Westbrooks Surber. He was a graduate of N.C. State University and was a retired educator in Rockingham County School System for over 30 years. Larry had a love for animals and always had hope for peace and justice for all people. Surviving are wife, Laura Hines Surber of the home; step-daughter, Rachel Bowler and husband Andrew of Gretna, VA; three grandsons, Seiya, Sena and Lyukia Nomura of Gretna.
