Obituary For Rosa Love Poteat April 24, 1922 - January 25, 2014 Rosa Lee Love Poteat, 91, passed away Saturday morning on January 25, 2014 at Morehead Nursing Center in Eden, NC. Fair Funeral Home is assisting the family. A memorial service will be held for Mrs. Poteat at a later date in Newell, NC in the Charlotte area. Mrs. Poteat was born in LaGrange, GA on April 24, 1922 to the late Joseph and Maude Walker Love. She was a lifetime homemaker. Preceding her in death along with her parents was her husband, William D. "Bill" Poteat; sister, Margaret L. Shumaker and brother Melvin L. Love. Surviving are son, William E. "Bill" Poteat and wife Brenda Miles Poteat; grandchildren, Gary W. Poteat and Anthony W. Noles and wife Starr; great grandchildren, Bryce and Blake Noles; brother, Clarence "Doc" Love and wife Lorraine.
