Obituary For Joann Spicer Gibson February 29, 1948 - September 27, 2013 Joann Spicer Gibson, 65, of 239 Odle Lane in Eden, passed away Friday morning, September 27, 2013, at her home. The funeral service will be held Monday 11 am at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Ridge-View Memorial Gardens. Ms. Gibson was born February 29, 1948 in Richmond, VA to the late Bernard L. Spicer and Anna Mae Reynolds Spicer. She worked for the Rockingham County Council On Aging for 10 years as an LPN. Surviving are her daughters, Teresa Tilley and fiance Patrick Ortiz of Greensboro, NC, Wendy Martin of Greensboro, NC, sons Billy Gibson and wife Karen of Eden, NC, and Mark Gibson and wife Tammy of Eden, NC, two sisters Rita Picha and husband Buddy of Taylorsville, NC, Joyce Brizendine and husband Bobby of Jamaica, VA, former husband William Gibson, Jr. and wife Karen Gibson, eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, and special friend Gail Martin. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service 10 until 11 am at Fair Funeral Home Chapel, and other times at the home.
