To Elaine, Bobby, Eric, and Nancy:

I just read your mother's well-written and touching obituary. Our school system and our entire hometown have always loved your beautiful, talented mother. I don't think I have ever heard a single former student say they didn't adore her. Sue and I had so many activities in common that cemented our friendship over the years. The best of all of them was being the English teacher to all four of you. She and I enjoyed  activities such as Alpha Delta Kappa, Junior Woman's Club, Woman's Club, and Thursday Study Club...and all the sporting events that brought all of us together . John and I  treasure the friendship we had with both of your parents. We love each of you and are thankful for our relationships enriched through friendship and good times. I grieve with you for the loss of one so dear to our hearts. May the smile on Sue's beautiful picture posted on this obituary remain in your hearts forever. Such a dear friend will live in my memory with a thankful heart for having known her.

What a legacy she leaves behind for all of us.

My condolences to everyone.  Mrs. Honeycutt was my 3rd grade teacher.  I always remember and appreciate her.  One thing she did that means a lot to me now, is that she had us read from the Bible everyday in class.  I still remember that from way back in 1980 at Central Elementary.

Dear Elaine, Bobby, Eric, and Nancy:

Remembering you all in this difficult time! I will always have good memories of Betty "Sue" Honeycutt she lived a good life and cared about helping other people achieve their dreams and goals in life. Eric, I will always remember the great times we had in our "Youth Group" at "First Baptist Church" especially when we played the hand bells. Your drum playing in high school was "Awesome" one of the best.
May God give you Comfort, Peace, Strength, as time goes on.
